Nout Lequen

Nout Lequen , painter of origin Dutchwoman, was born in Paris in 1954 and has its workshop close to Grenoble. It is formed with the free workshops of the Art schools of Angers and Grenoble. Its technique of painting covers all the supports and as well uses inks and the pastels that oil. Parallel to its activity of painter, it practices the sculpture and gives introductory courses to the contemporary art with the Workshops of Creation and Artistic Development (ACDA).

Nout Lequen proposes a varied pictorial work to us, figurative in the abstraction, juggling subtly with various forms of expression where the fabrics mix with the drawings and the pigments with ink and oil. Essence for it is to open for us a space with the fluidity of the life, to suggest this so human and so delicate passage between the wave and the matter. Of its workshop with Meylan (Isere, Dauphine, France) near to the solid mass of Chartreuse, it was touched by the silence and the light of the the Alps. Its topics are very varied: the human body, landscapes real or imaginary, nature, subjects, music, the animal world…

Some of its tables handle the Noir from where the color emerges to light what is proposed to us: an unforeseen but possible meeting with our interiority and that of the artist.
