The Commune of Nousse belongs to the Communauté of communes of Montfort-in-Chalosse which gathers the 21 communes of the canton: Cassen, Clermont, Gamarde-the-Baths, Garrey, Gibret, Goos, Pod, Hinx-on-the Adour, To rent, Lourquen, Montfort-in-Chalosse, Nousse, Onard, Ozourt, Poyanne, Poyartin, Préchacq-the-Baths, Saint-Geours-with Auribat, Saint-Jean-of-To bind, Leave-in-Chalosse, Vicq-with Auribat.

The Communauté of communes, in 2006, is chaired by Elisabeth Servières (PS), general adviser of the canton and mayor of Leave-in-Chalosse.
