Nou camp

The Camp Nou (officially Nou Estadi del Futbol Club Barcelona ) is the stage of the club of Football of FC Barcelona. Its name wants to say Nouveau Catalan Stage in .

Before the construction of the Nou Camp, the FC Barcelona used the Camp Vell (" Stade" old man;), conceived in 1922 with a capacity close to: 100000 spectators, located to him also in the district inhabitants of Barcelona of Corts .

Structure

After the dramas of the years 1980 with the Heysel and Sheffield, the capacity of the Nou Camp is reduced to: 98787 places (what makes of it the greatest stage of Europe). This new configuration is in place for the Olympic Games of summer of 1992 which are held with Barcelona.

Equipment

Certified Stage 5 stars UEFA, the audio-visual equipment are to the last standards required by FIFA. This certification confers the right at the stage in addition to accommodate a final of Ligue of the champions, as that occurred in 1999, year of the certification of the stage.

Two giant screens, laid out in top of the side platforms of the stage, make it possible to diffuse with the whole of the spectators of information as well in advertizing matter as informative (list of the players, name of the striker for example). The platform of press also makes it possible to accommodate a great number of journalists (282). Concerning safety at the time of the matches, 400 guards and placers, and more than 200 security agents are placed in the enclosure. The public can reach by 107 doors inside the stage and can be evacuated in less than five minutes.

Others

Just beside Nou Camp one finds a small stage being used for the team holds: the " minis-estadi". This stage of: 16500 places was inaugurated the September 23rd 1982. It is used as ground with FC Barcelona B and the national team of Andorra.

The Palau Blaugrana is located also just beside the stage. It is used for all the sports of room of the sporting Club of the FC Barcelona (Basket-ball, Handball, Rink-hockey and Futsal).

As opposed to what much think, " Nou" camp; such as it is but rather " does not decide; cam' No-ou".

The museum

The visit of the stage and the museum of the club, is an attraction very in vogue in Barcelona. The visit makes it possible to see the cloakrooms, the ground of the bench of key, then presidential space and to finish the cabins of the commentators all in top of the stage. The visit ends in the room of the trophies of the FC Barcelona, as well as the museum dedicated to the Football.

It is the second museum more visited city (Barcelona).
