Summary
Leon Ménard (Bourvil) is a Norman peasant of the more matois. Invited in his uncle Henri (Albert Duvaleix), a prosperous industrialist, by his cousin Nicole (Suzy Carrier), it thwarts the operations of a véreuse artist (Mona Goya) decided well to be made pass the ring to the finger, and discovers in same times bad temptations of the count de Bellemont (Jacques Louvigny), a lord of the manor as filled up of mortuary as hopelessly ruined, with regard to the dowry (comfortable) of Nicole. The uncovered count withdraws himself with crash, involving with him his son Didier (Bernard Lancret) that Nicole believes accessory to the covetous intrigues of Bellemont father. A letter intercepted by faithful controlling of the family (Yvette Andreyor) opens the eyes with Leon as for the purity of the intentions of the young man. He convinces without difficulty the uncle Henri of naming this last with the head of one of his factories, and Ménard with large complete celebrate shortly after the double weddings of Nicole and Didier and Leon and his promised young person Rosine (Jacqueline Beyrot).
