Norwegian bay
The Norwegian Baie is small a bay in the south-east of the Péninsule Billhook, vast Péninsule constituting the north-eastern quarter of the principal island of the Kerguelen, in the Indian Ocean.
The southern part of bay proves to be the northern coast of the Presqu'île of the Prince de Galles, short a Presqu'île prolonging the peninsula towards south-east until a course, the Cape Suzanne. The Western part digs as for it the Eastern coast of the peninsula which slips by towards the Cape Ratmanoff, more in north.
It is in Norwegian Bay, on a small island accessible to foot with low tide, the Matley small island, that is fall it from John Matley, deceased in Kerguelen the December 12th 1810. It was the Capitaine Duke off Portland cement , a sealing Navire English.
