Summary

The young person and naive Catherine Morland are invited by neighbors of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allens, to remain with them during a few weeks with Bath, thermal city very appraisal by the English lower middle class.

It becomes acquainted soon with Isabelle Thorpe, a hypocritical young girl who is caught affection for it, as well as her John brother, conceited and impolite.

Fortunately, it meets also Henry Tilney, young man funny and full with good sense of which it éprend quickly, and of his/her Eleanor sister. They invite it to remain in Northanger Abbey, an old English residence where Catherine finds what soon to satisfy her wild imagination nourished by Romance Gothics like the Mysteries of Udolphe .
