North Harbor Rugby Union
North Harbor Rugby Football Union is a federation of Rugby to XV of New Zealand which takes part in the championship of the provinces NPC, called Air New Zealand Cup in 2006. Its team is based in Albany, it plays in a stage which has a capacity of more than 25 000 places.
North Harbor was formed in 1985 starting from clubs which had left the Auckland Rugby Football Union. Players also take part in the Super 14 with the Blues.
September 24th, 2006, the province gains for the first time in eleven attempts the Ranfurly Shield, at the expense of Canterbury.
