North Carolina Tar Heels is a club general sports university of the Université of North Carolina - Chapel Hill with Chapel Hill (the United States). The teams of Tar Heels take part in the university competitions organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. North Carolina belongs to division Atlantic Coast Conference.
All confused sports, Tar Heels gained 37 national titles by teams and 51 in an individual capacities. At the female ones, the team of female Football thus gained eight titles NCAA since 1981, the basketteuses were champions in 1994 and equips it with Field hockey was crowned in 1985, 1995, 1996 and 1997. Among boys, the basketball players gained the title in 1924, 1957, 1982, 1993 and 2005, in Crosse Tar Heels was champion in 1982, 1986 and 1991 and equips it with Handball remains on three consecutive titles (2004, 2005 and 2006).
