Norrköping is a town of Sweden, located in the Comté of Östergötland. It has 82.744 inhabitants, and is the chief town of the common of Norrköping.

It is an industrial city which thrived thanks to energy drawn from the river Motala ström and with its port on the lake Bråviken, a gulf of the the Baltic. At the end of the 20th century it was severely touched by the closing of part of its activities, which involved an important unemployment. Continuous Norrköping with living of its textile industries, chemical, of manufacture of paper, electrical material and pieces of furniture and in addition succeeded in finding its vitality while betting on the culture and teaching. It has in particular a famous Bibliothèque, and supported the installation of a powerful industrial park in high technologies.
