Norman Jacques

Jacques Normand is a French writer born with Paris in 1848 and died in 1931.

Biography

It is born in Paris in 1848; he is lawyer at 21 years, then studying with the École of the Charters. In 1870, it engages in the mobile guards (the Moblots). Demobilized, he becomes prosator, novelist, poet, journalist, author for the theater. He marries the girl of the academician Joseph Autran (born and died in Marseilles, elected official on May 7th, 1868 with the armchair 9, that of François Ponsard, and which succeeded Victorien Sardou). He dies in 1931.

Its works were published at Calmann-Levy, whose funds belongs today to Hachette. In 1918, he was member of the committee of the Société of the men of letters, where he created the literary prize which bears its name. Louis Labat wrote of him: it is one of the fathers of the monolog . And Georges Walch, who presents it in his Anthologie of the contemporary French poets : the worms of Jacques Normand is recommended by the extreme facility, native elegance, the naturalness…

The invoice of its manuscript writing is worthy of attention.
