Normaal Amsterdams Peil

The Normaal Amsterdams Peil (also known under its abbreviation of NAP , in French normal Level of Amsterdam ) is the level of reference 0 of the sea to low tide measured with Amsterdam. It is used as reference level of the Altitude for the whole of the Netherlands, country for good portion located under the sea level, and regularly confronted with river risings and maritime floods.
