Parallel to founded the Gulag of Norillag, Norilsk (134 832 inhabitants at the time of the census of 2002,) is a city located in the middle of the okroug of Taïmyr, but depending administratively on the '' kraï '' of Krasnoïarsk in Russia. Located at the north of the Arctic Circle, it is regarded as the most septentrional city of the world.
