The nordicity is the characteristic of what is geographically Nordique . In Canada
It is from the point of view of Northern relative that Louis-Edmond Hamelin proposed, in 1976, a system of ten complementary indices, called polar values or vapos , to measure the nordicity of various points in the north of the 50e Parallèle. For a Geographical point given, six vapos measures Phénomène S Nature ls and four vapos measures the Human activity:-

The index then enables us to trace contours of different nords, corresponding to various degrees of nordicity ( Pre-North , Moyen North , Far North and Extrême North ).
