Norbert Waszek

Norbert Waszek , philosopher and Germanist French, of German origin. Born on December 11th, 1953, Norbert Waszek studied at the University from the Ruhr in Bochum (Magister Artium 1978), in Edinburgh and Stirling/Scotland (Master off Letters 1980), before supporting his thesis of doctorate at the university of Cambridge (Christ' S College; PhD 1984) and its Enabling in the Sorbonne (Paris I - 1998). Its research activities and of teaching led it to Auckland (Zealand News), Hanover, Erlangen and Paris. It is installed in France since 1992.

Since 1999, he is Professor of the universities, initially in Rouen, and as from 2003 at the university Paris VIII, where he directs a group of research on the history of ideas (EA 1577). He is also researcher associated with CNRS (UMR 8547: Germanic countries: history, culture, philosophy).
