The Noord is a Rivière Dutchwoman, which belongs to the Delta the Rhine. Noord is located in the province of the Holland-Septentrional , between the island of IJsselmonde to the west and the Alblasserwaard in the east. Noord knows a very important River navigation and belonged to the principal river routes of this part of the country.

Geography

The river connects the crossroads of the Vieille Meuse and the lower Merwede close to Dordrecht with, in the north of Ridderkerk, its Confluent with the Lek, from which is born the Nouvelle Meuse. The direction of the current of Noord depends on the Marée.

On bank is, the Alblas, throws themselves in Noord on the level of Alblasserdam.
