Nonspecific food disorders
The symptomatology of the food disorders ( Eating Disorder Symptomatology or EDI ) (Garner, 1991) is a questionnaire which helps to establish the profile of the psychological features and the symptoms of the individual presenting various food disorders.
The under-scales lead the individual to explore the topics concerning its motivation with being meaner, its behaviors compulsive eaters, if there are place, its dissatisfaction vis-a-vis the image of his body, its feeling vis-a-vis his effectiveness in a general way, its perfectionism, its confidence or its interpersonal mistrust. The questioning, concerning the listening of its feelings of the regulation of the hunger and satiety, will be approached. Three other under-scales representing asceticism, developing a discipline of strict life, the regulation of the impulses and the social insecurity will be explored. In fact, the questionnaire, comprising 64 items and 27 additional (in six points going from always forever), is used to establish a portrait which is compared with the standard and pathological for each one of under scales. One will then have raised in twenty minutes, the points important to explore in therapeutic follow-up. This questionnaire exists only in english language version.
