Nonna Mayer is a sociologist and an political economist Frenchwoman.
Biography
It is research director with the National center of the scientific research attached to the Research center policies of Sciences Po (CEVIPOF) and person in charge of the political programme of sociology to DEA “Sociology political and public policies” of the institute of political studies of Paris.
Nonna Mayer teaches in the master “compared Companies and policy” of the IEP of Paris. It is in load of the field “Companies moving” with the Presses of Sciences Po with Edmond Préteceille. In 2005, she was elected president of the French Association of political science (September 2005). .
She published many work of electoral sociology and codirigé an important collective on the National front with Pascal Perrineau. Its research relates to electoral sociology, in particular that the extreme French line. It is also interested in the associative militancy, racism and the anti-semitism. Parallel to its personal research, it takes part in network RAXEN (Racism and Xenophobia European Network) and in the comparative investigation “Group Focused Enmity” directed by professor Wilhelm Heitmeyer (Bielefeld).
