Non-being
The non-being is by definition the absence of state and existence, of Réalité, in opposition to “to be”.
Antiquity
Parménide affirms the impossibility on the one hand of the inexistence of being it and on the other hand to follow the way of the non-being. Gorgias answers by the demonstration of the " nothing est" in the treaty Of the non-being or nature which includes/understands three fundamental proposals:
- nothing exists;
- even if there exists something, the man cannot apprehend it;
- even if the man can apprehend it, it can neither formulate it nor to explain it to the others.
