Nolwenn Leroy

Nolwenn Leroy (born the September 28th 1982 with Saint-Renan) is a French Chanteuse .
Childhood
At the four years age, Nolwenn leaves Saint-Renan to remain with Paris, then to Lille and returns in Brittany to settle with Guingamp in 1990 where is born his/her Kay little sister. In 1992, his/her father, a professional footballer (Jean-Luc Magueresse), gives up his family. After a series of removals caused by problems of work of her mother, it will live with her sister and her mother in her grandparents with Saint-Yorre, in 1993.
Nolwenn follows its schooling to the college of Célestins to Vichy and decides to learn the violin on the councils from its professor from music. At the thirteen years age, it gains the contest of the hypermarkets Cora “the schools of the desert” and share for ten days with the Mali for a humane mission, which leads it Gao to Tombouctou.
In July 1998, the Rotary Club of Vichy chooses it to leave one year to the the United States to Cincinnati in the Ohio, at the time of international exchanges, so that it passes there the equivalent of the baccalaureat. It there will remain one year and will make a two days training course to the Hamilton High School , a Performing Arts School (cf Fame ). On its return in France, it decides to follow courses of traditional song to the academy of Vichy to improve. It will acquire there solids bases in lyric song.
In 2001, it is registered with the Faculty of Law of Clermont-Ferrand (specialization in Anglo-American right) in the idea to make a diplomatic career with UNO or within a ONG, if the world of the music would not open with it.
Birth of a career
By looking at the television game Star Academy, Nolwenn is fascinated by Armande Altaï, a professor of song, and decides to fall under its class. To manage to pay the courses and displacements in Paris, she works the weekend as cashier. She is then selected to take part in the Star Academy 2… and will be large gaining.
The March 4th 2003 leaves its first album entitled Nolwenn , in which take part Pascal Obispo, Lara Fabian, Laurent Voulzy, Lionel Florence and Daniel Lavoie. The album quickly gains a great success (more than 700.000 sold specimens), grace in particular to the success of the extracts Cassé and Suivre a star . The same year, Nolwenn takes down the NRJ Music Award of the French-speaking Revelation, and starts a round through all France.
Its second album, Natural histories , realized by Laurent Voulzy and Franck Eulry, leave in the vats the December 5th 2005 and become platinum disc after only a few weeks. The first extract Nolwenn Ohwo! , signed by the duet Alain Souchon/Laurent Voulzy, is classified N°1 of the sales directly. It becomes thus the first pupil of the Castle to offer two n°1 sales the individual ones, after Cassé in 2002. This album will enable him to gain 3 Stars Cherished FM, of which that of the song of the year for My Angel .
After a turned large news, of which a few days with closed counters in Olympia, it publishes its first live DVD Natural histories Tower on October 27th, 2007 as well as CD Live. A few days later, it will gain Star Cherished FM of Artiste of the year.
