Lynn Nolan Ryan (born the January 31st 1947) was one of the most famous launchers of the history of the major leagues of Baseball. It spent 27 years in the major ones, and recorded 5714 withdrawals on catches during its career. The best total by another launcher is 4611 by Roger Clemens.

Ryan holds the record for greatest total of No-hitters in the major Leagues (7) and is in equality with Bob Feller for the greatest total of match with only one sure Coup allowed (12). It is classified 14th for the victories, but is classified first in allowed automatic bases 2795 - 962 bases more than the total of Steve Carlton. At the end of its career it competed with Carlton for the greatest number of withdrawals on the catches in a career. In 1983 it was Ryan which was the first to exceed the total of Walter Johnson established in 1927. But it was exceeded by Carlton in 1984 while Ryan was wounded. The best total of withdrawals on the catches changed 19 times between the two launchers until 1989 when Carlton took its withdrawal. Ryan has continues until 1993, recording its 300e victory in 1990.
