Noise rock\'n\'roll

The Noise rock'n'roll is a style of Musique bruitist which developed during the Années 1980. Defined in a very broad way, one can regard it as an experimental outgrowth Punk rock'n'roll. By mixing the attitude Punk with the Atonal noise , the nonconventional structures of the incipient industrial Music and the bruitism, the noise rock'n'roll introduces a new style of music avant-gardist into the landscape of the alternative Rock. Sometimes one indicates this style under the term of " noisecore" , although this word also indicates the Grindcore or a fast and distorsionnée variety of Techno hardcore.

History

Among the principal influences of the noise rock'n'roll of the beginnings, one can in particular quote the Rock believed of the Velvet Underground (in particular their album White Light/White Heat ,), the Stooges, the Fifty Foot Hose of San Francisco, the most expressive passages of the Krautrock (of the groups such as Faust), the Free chaotic jazz and the free-rock'n'roll of the label ESP-Disk and the Metal Machine Music of Lou Reed.

The Années 1980 saw the emergence of a great number of groups of noise rock'n'roll on various scenes of the the United States, among which one can quote The Jesus Lizard and Big Black (Chicago), Butthole Surfers and Scratch Acid (Texas), Sonic Youth and Swans (New York), The Cows (Mineapolis), Flipper (San Francisco) and Dinosaur Jr (Massachusetts). It is also advisable to stress the importance, in particular with the beginning of the year 1980, of the emergent movement No Wave of New York, in reaction to the mode New Wave of this time.

Later, the sound was associated with Japanese artists such as Boredoms and Melt-Banana, which incorporated and exacerbated the influences of the music Japanese bruitist, while adopting for example on certain pieces of the completely chaotic structures, of the " chansons" rapids and extremely short, marked by rhythmic and vocal explosions and saturated guitars hyper.
