In Nointel the Castle of Nointel is whose propiétaire is the singer type-setter Renaud Siry. It is the 3rd castle built on this site, the 2 precedents having burned during wars.
In this castle is the Museum of the miniature car joining together more than 5000 cars of collection, inaugurated in 1986 per Jean-Pierre Beltoise.

Marquis of Béchameil: in 1670, bought the Marquisat of Nointel, was Master of hotel of Louis XIV. According to the local legend, it is in this peaceful village that it found a Sauce bechamel sauce which bears its name today (veracity of this fact disputed). This sauce was created in the Castle of Nointel.

the Physicist, Astronomer and Mathématicien Jean-Baptiste Biot was Maire of Nointel, but had to resign in 1830.
