The village thrived until the medium of the XXe century, date on which the arrival of the washing machine made the work of the washing machines obsolete. Lastly, throughout second half of the XXe century, Nohanent will approach Clermont-Ferrand, being assimilated little by little to the suburbs of the middle-classes of the city. This bringing together was finally concretized when Nohanent joined Clermont Communauté in 1993.
