Biography
Born on Ferenginar into 2354, Nog is the son of Rom and of Prinadora but his/her mother gives up it at the end of the five year old contract which officially linked it with his/her father. His/her other “close” parents are his grandmother Ishka and her uncle Quark. The back of its prominent cranium disappears like that from Romanian under a kind of fabric stringcourse fixed behind its ears at the broad houses. Its hemmed arch of the eye brows, her folded nose, its irregularly established teeth point out the paternal face but its features are appreciably firmer while its dark and brilliant eyes betray its quickness of mind. That one considers it according to human criteria or Ferengi S, the size of Nog is as for it very below the average.During years 2360, Nog follows his/her father when this one joined Quark on the mining station Cardassien Terok Nor where the elder one of the two brothers opened an establishment of play also acting as bar. Astute and persuasive, the nephew of the tenant consequently shows himself very skilful in art to handle others.
In 2369, at the time of the departure of the occupants cardassiens, the Ferengi young person divides himself between the bar of his uncle (where it sometimes happens to him to act as waiter) and gangways of the station in which it regularly tries to conceal any object likely to be resold and to get for its family an additional profit. Taken on the fact during one of these operations of “recovery” in company of not very advisable Markalien, Nog is finally imprisoned. Without its knowledge, its release becomes the stake of a market between the commander Benjamin Sisko (charged by Starfleet with managing the renamed station Deep Space Nine ) and the Quark crafty one. This last thus obtains the setting in freedom of its nephew with the proviso of not leaving the places and of again opening the establishment of which it had initially decided to give up the exploitation. Nog thus becomes again one of the “employees” of Quark all while devoting time to others with new doubtful jokes and small dishonesties.
Sure of him but respectful of the people who are higher to him (to be started with the officers of Starfleet in station on DS9 ), Nog indeed continues to use with more or less good knowledge of the multiple talents that its intelligence and its curiosity enabled him to develop. Its fidelity in friendship, remarkably illustrated by its relations with Jake Sisko, is in addition indéfectible. The son of the commander in particular makes him become aware of the gaps from which its instruction hitherto suffered. He thus learns how to him to read and leads it to attend the class installed on the station by Keiko O' Brien. The son of Romanian been besides there very quickly the proof of capacities higher than the average in the near total of the fields approached.
On the sentimental level, the Ferengi young person falls in 2369 pennies the charm from Varis Sul, that its fifteen years by no means prevent from being indicated like Tétrarque in order to govern the destinies of the village Bajoran of Paqu. During years which follow, Nog is also let convince by his/her friend Jake to assist with some amorous meeting who consolidate it in the idea that the tastes as regards women differ singularly from a culture to another.
In 2370, Nog is implied in a quarrel the opponent with a handle of teenagers Skrreean S fleeing the Quadrant Gamma. When he realizes that he is in fact victim of serious xenophobe prejudices , he agrees to re-examine his control and of tightening the hand to the refugees. At the end of the same year, an incursion on other side of the Hole of worm in company of his/her uncle, Jake and the Sisko commander leads it to meet the Vorta Eris which is claimed pursued by the Jem' hadar S but appears in fact the agent of the Fondateur S (or Founders) of the Dominion.
About to reach the Age of Rise in comparison with its people, Nog requires into 2371 of Benjamin Sisko if he wants to become his “model well” according to the rules fixed by the tradition which its similar obey. Also solicited to support the candidature that the best friend of its son wishes to present to the Académie of Starfleet, ordering it Sisko accepts this double role. In spite of the marked disapproval of his uncle, the Ferengi young person plunges himself consequently in the study of the preparatory program of the Academy and he triumphs over the intentions of sabotage of Quark (courageously countered by Rom, which wishes that his/her son profit from the chance which always was lacking to him) by facing successfully the four days of tests which are imposed to him.
In 2372, it thus separates from all that it had being child and is on the point of rejoining the Ground in company of his father in order to undertake the academic cycle which will make of him an officer. The voyage which was to lead it directly to San Francisco however a little longer and is animated that envisaged since their shuttle, controlled by his uncle, carries out an unexpected turning by Roswell with the right in the middle of the 20th century (from where the three Ferengis manage to escape only thanks to historical knowledge from the future junior and from the contained informations in the guide which the doctor Julian Bashir gave to him little before his departure). Nog becomes all the same little of time after the first native of Ferenginar admitted on the benches of the Academy of Starfleet. Besides it receives there the visit of his friend Jake like that of Benjamin Sisko when this last, on order of the president of the Fédération Jaresh-Inyo, is brought to seek the possible evidence of the presence of agents of Founders within the federal institutions. In his efforts to belong to the prestigious Red Squadron of the Academy, the young junior brings moreover a help as involuntary as invaluable to the captain of DS9 , which thus succeeds in thwarting the conspiracy warped by the admiral Leyton.
Of return on Deep Space Nine in 2373 within the framework of a programme of studies “on the ground”, Nog divides its districts with Jake Sisko and takes part in frequent operations at the sides of the senior officers of the station. It goes thus on Empok Nor , station cardassienne “binocular” of DS9 (in the past Terok Nor ) left with the abandonment but likely conceal certain technological elements in a position to function. At the end of the same year, it belongs to the crew of the Defying when the fleet is forced to give up the ground with the allied troops cardassiennes with those of the Dominion.
In 2374, Nog is promoted with the row of sign before taking part in the counter-offensive launched by Starfleet. It is useful besides on the footbridge of the Defying at the time of the suicidal diving of the vessel in the middle of the hole of worm, by which the enemy forces started to forward. The nephew of Quark attends directly the destruction of those by the Prophètes before joining to them his on the finally released station. Always aboard ship same, the Ferengi young person is retained soon as an hostage by a group of Jem' hadars in company of the Sisko captain, of Worf and Kira Nerys. He joins the subterfuge intended then to prevent their kidnappers from seizing the building, helped without his knowledge by Bashir, O' Brien and Dax which was reduced to the state of Lilliputians and constitutes the crew of a shuttle runabout miniaturized.
Before the end of the conflict between the Federation, the respective Dominion and their allies, Nog still take part in the seat of small planet AR-558 during which it loses one of its legs. In convalescence among his on Deep Space Nine , it sinks in a deep depression in spite of the installation of a biosynthetic prosthesis and only the councils of Vic Fountain (virtual protagonist of the favorite holographic program of the majority of the occupants of the station) manage of to leave it.
The young officer ferengi thus takes again his service into 2375 on board Defying , takes part in the second battle of Chin' toka and sees himself promoted lieutenant by Benjamin Sisko little before this last does not leave “food” with the Prophets Bajor.
