Nobeyama Millimeter Array

NMA ( Nobeyama Millimeter Array ) is a Interféromètre millimétrique.
It is managed by Nobeyama Radio Observatory (NRO) which is a section of the National Astronomical Observatory off (NAOJ) Japan.
This instrument is located at the Japan, close to Nagano, at an altitude of 1350m. It is also on this site that Nobeyama Radio Observatory 45-m Telescope (NRO 45-m Telescope) is present.

Characteristics

This interferometer consists of six antennas of 10m of diameter each one. Those are assembled on rails in order to be able to place itself according to various configurations of observation.
Since its installation it in particular allowed the discovery of a Disque protoplanétaire.
