No the mouse
In Fortification S, a not of mouse is a Escalier (hones some, masonry etc) of which a part is replaced by an easily removable horizontal board.
In times of peace, the defenders can circulate by the step of mouse. In the event of attack, the board is withdrawn and the attackers cannot borrow the staircase easily.
