No Quarter is a song of the group Led Zeppelin, appeared on the album Houses off the Holy , left in 1973. It was composed by John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.

As it is the case of other songs written by Plant ( Immigrating Song ), its words evoke the Scandinavian Mythologie, with an evocation of the god Thor ( The winds off Thor are blowing cold ).

It becomes traditional concerts of Led Zeppelin after 1973, and they almost systematically play it until the end of the group, in 1980. During these representations, an artificial fog invades the scene, and John Paul Jones often improvises on her keyboards, playing various traditional pieces, in particular of Rachmaninov. During a concert of 1977, the interpretation of No Quarter lasts thirty-six minutes, five times longer than the version of the album. This song also appears in the film The Song Remains the Same .

Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones took again No Quarter in their respective careers solos. Page and Seedling showed this title to name their album of 1994 No Quarter: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant Unledded .
