NoLiTa
Nolita , sometimes written NoLIta ( No rth off L ittle Ita ly , in Northern French of Little Italy) is a district of Manhattan, with New York.
Nolita is delimited in north by Houston Street, in the east by Bowery, the south by Broome Street, and the east by Lafayette Street. It extends to the east from SoHo, in the south of NoHo, the west of the Lower East Side, and in the north of Little Italy and Chinatown.
The district a long time was regarded as part of Little Italy, but lost its Italian-American character, those Ci being dispersed towards the others Borough S of the city and in suburbs. From the medium of the Years 1990, the district saw an surge of yuppies in the district, and a development of the restaurants and bars.
Homonymy
In 2004, the singer Keren Ann leaves an album entitled Nolita , in reference to this district.
