Nizamiyyah

A Nizamiyyah نظامیه|Nezāmiyeh is a medieval institution of education higher founded by Nizam Al-Mulk than the 11th century in what today is the Iraq, the Iran and the Afghanistan. Name Nizamiyyah drift of its name. Founded at the beginning of the Empire Seldjoukide, Nizamiyyah are regarded as a model of Madrassa - religious schools Islam ic.

Nizamiyyah were the first universities organized well in the Muslim world. They there profited from a teaching of more high-quality and were even famous in Europe. They were financially, politically constant and spiritually by the reigning classes and the elites.

Nizamiyyah most famous was that of Baghdad (founded in 1065), where Nizam Al-Mulk named as professor the theologist and philosopher Al-Ghazali. The Persian poet Saadi was student there. Others nizamiyyah were with Nichapur, Balkh, Herat and Isfahan.
