Nitzsche jack

Jack Nitzsche , is a type-setter of Film music and American musical producer, born with Chicago in 1937 and deceased with Los Angeles in 2000.

Biography

It begins at the end of the Fifties as an arranger, working with the sound engineer Larry Levine on the hits of the Ronettes and the Hooks in particular. He collaborated with largest of which Phil Spector - contributing an important share to the famous " wall off sound" - but also the Rolling Stones and Neil Young.

In the years 1970, it produces some of the artists of the new wave of the punk new yorkais among which the Ramones or Mink DeVille. In its autobiography, Marianne Faithfull describes Jack Nitzsche and Phil Spector in these some words: " My only another experiment with Americans was the strange friends of Andrew Loog Oldham, manager of Rolling Stones (Phil Spector and Jack Nitzsche) which seemed to me the extraterrestrial ones with their black glasses and their amphetamines; and especially which did not speak jamais."

Type-setter of many film musics (the Exorcist, Flight with the top of a nest of cuckoos, the hot spot of Hopper Refusals, the Indian Runner and crossing guards of Sean Penn), he is also the author of an album named the Lonely Surfer. Like arranger, he worked for people as different as Ian Stewart, Wrecking Crew, Ry Cooder

In 1983, he marries the Amerindian singer of Canada Buffy Sainte-Marie. He died on August 27th, 2000 at the 63 years age. He appears for the last time in 2000 in a film on Willy DeVille corealized by Frederic Bas and Julien Gaurichon.
