A nitride is a chemical Composé associating the Azote with an element, often a Métal.
The nitrides of Silicon and Tungstène are used in Métallurgie (Céramique S) because of their large Dureté.
The Boron nitride crystallizes in hexagonal form like the Graphite. Like him, it has an excellent heat strength, from where its use as crucible. One also used it in the manufacture of Nanotube S.
Certain nitrides, the such nitride of Niobium, are superconductive.
