Niterói Rugby

The Niterói Rugby Football Clube is a Brazilian general sports club based with Niterói in the state of Rio de Janeiro with the Brésil. The section of Rugby to XV currently takes part in the more high level of the Brazilian Championnat of Rugby to XV.

History

The club was founded in 1973. December 10th, 1973 was held a meeting which led to the foundation of Niterói Rugby Clube Football and its immediate affiliation in Associação Brasileira de Rugby.

As a new team, her inscription was accepted in 2º division (Divisão de Acesso) the team being made up players resulting from the club of Rio Cricket and pupils of the school of Niterói. at the end of the year of 1974 Niterói Rugby was crowned champion of 2º division, gaining the right of player to the more high level in the 1st division, statute which it always preserved so far, always evolving/moving among the best teams of Brazil.

Since 1975, it finishes the 3rd 1st division.

In 1976, it is the dedication and 1st of the 6 championships of Brazil.

As from 1976, the club tremine 6 times in the first place and 11 times at the second.

Since this club created a section of handball and a watery section of pole.
