A Nissan Sileighty is a Nissan 180SX with headlights of S13 Nissan Silvia, front shock absorbers, cap, and stop before installed, consequently “Sil” in before and the back “eighty”.

History

Sileighty (also called Sil80) was " créée" by the street Japanese racers which had damaged the front face of their 180SX. Since the front face and the headlights of Silvia were lighter and cheaper than the spare parts 180SX, much of street racers employed these parts in the place. Unknown to the public until the date of " production" , these modifications of owners inspired a store of Japanese cars (Kids Heart), to produce a restricted number of Nissan Sileighties. These is 500 cars which were made by this store, and were only sold in 1998, probably by agencies of Nissan. Primarily the 180SX Type-X of kouki (late model) modified for drifter, the cars are distinguished from their counterparts built in factory by the distinctive name of “Sileighty” on the initials back and the side panes (arrears). Sileighty includes directed modifications drift transistor such as a new ECU, a stiffer system of suspension, a Differential has Glissement L imitated improved, and an increase in pressure the turbo one of 7psi (origin) has approximately 13psi after modification, having for result roughly 230cv in power against the 205cv of the SR20DET of the standard 180SX.

Other variations

It became common for owners of the 240SX, the American version of the platform of Nissan S, to make their own Sileighties into important headlights before Silvia and by installing it on their car. While some mention it like “Silforty”, the majority of the enthusiasts insist on the fact that it is primarily similar which Sileighty, and refer to it as such. It is more or the less correct evaluation, because the parts of the body of the fastback 240SX remain are identical to the respective components 180SX except mark. The S13 cuts or the convertible converts however are not regarded as of Sileighties, because the body is simply a port of Silvia itself. Instead of that it indicated most generally under the name of a conversion of JDM Silvia.

Another variation is called sometimes Onevia, which is composed of the 180SX parts with the headlights before S13 Silvia. Nissan sold a configuration similar to the USA like S13 240SX Coupe due to the payment of size of headlight. However, in order to be classified like “true Onevia,” of the parts of two separate vehicles must be combined after manufacture. The combination of the body 180SX with an end before S15 Silvia is also a popular conversion.
