The Nissan Qashqai is a all-way produced by the Japanese mark Nissan. Smaller and better shaped than the X-Trail, it is sold in Europe since spring 2007 and is called Dualis in Japan. It is manufactured in the factory of Sunderland in Great Britain. In order to reduce the very long delivery periods due to a success stronger than envisaged on the whole of Europe (including in Russia) and to Japan, Nissan also began manufacture from Qasqhai/Dualis in its Japanese factory of the Kyushu.

Marketed in France at the beginning of 2007, Qashqai is available with 2 engines gasoline: - 1.6 115 ch, - 2.0 140 ch, and two diesels of Renault origin: - 1.5 dCi 106 ch. - 2.0 dCi 150 ch.

Qashqai has at the beginning only two driving wheels but can receive a baptized transmission integral " AlMode" on the 2 liters gasoline and diesel for 2.200 €. Price of Qashqai in France: of 18.900 € for the 1.6 basic one with 33.300 € for the 2.0 dCi in top-of-the-range completion with four driving wheels and limps automatic. A lengthened version of Qashqai would be envisaged but not at the end of 2008.
