The Nissan 300ZX (known under the name of Fairlady in Japan) belonged to the line of the sporting cars of series Z from Nissan.
Z31
The
Nissan 300ZX Z31 was distributed of 1983 to 1989.
It is the third generation of Z, it will keep Datsun name until 1985, then will take the name of Nissan after 1985. The particularly aerodynamic line of the body is the work of Kazumasi Takagi and its team.
The car was equipped with famous T Signal, said roof targa which had made the reputation of the 280ZX.
Certain inflated versions are used to practice the Drift.
One estimates at the approximately 70.000 numbers of vehicles produces between 1983 and 1989.
In 1989 Z31 is replaced by the Z32.
Z32
The
Nissan 300ZX Z32 was manufactured of 1989 to 1999.
Several versions were available:
- Atmospheric (VG30DE) 2+2 not distributed in Europe.
- Bi-turbo (VG30DETT) 2+2 & 2+0 only version 2+2 was distributed in Europe.
- Cabrio (VG30DE) not-distributed in principal driving Europe.Le was a v6 of 3.0 liters longitudinal which developed with the base 222 horses and equipped the version Atmosphérique.La Bi-turbo version has exactly the same engine but it was coupled of 2 turbo compressor, it developed 300 horses for the manual transmission 5 speeds and 280 horses for the automatic transmission has 4 reports/ratios. The 300 zx reached an attached top speed of 250 km/h.
Marketing in Europe stopped in 1996. Japan will sell it until 1999.
It is replaced by the Nissan 350Z.
