Niolon is a creek located on the commune Of Rove at approximately 20 km at the North-West of Marseilles, between Estaque and Curry-the-Wheel with the right in the middle of the blue Coast.
The access to the creek is done by a road which curves through the guarrigue then which is divided into two. On a side one joined Vesse of the other one reaches Niolon.
The village of Niolon is mainly made up by the center of Plongée of the UCPA (federal center FFESSM) which occupies a former strong soldier built in 1860 and having been occupied by German at the time of the Second world war. Some dwellings and trade (restaurants, bars, inn…) supplement the whole.
The underwater funds of the blue coast are famous to have certain beautiful divings such as for example Elvine.
Other military constructions overhang the village and offer a remarkable point of view on bay of Marseilles and on the Archipel of the Friuli. To reach it, it is necessary to follow the way skirting the railway in direction of Curry then to turn right on the path which goes up towards the fort before the viaduct. Then it is very right.
