Ninth district of Yvelines

The ninth district of the Yvelines is one of the twelve French legislative districts which account the department of the Yvelines (78) located in area Île-de-France. It is represented in XIIe legislature by Henri Cuq.

Geographical and demographic description

The ninth district of Yvelines is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , it gathers the following administrative divisions:

• Canton of Aubergenville,
• Canton of the Bonnières-on-Seine,
• Canton of Guerville,
• Canton of Houdan,

more the commune of the Mureaux and Chapet.

It is primarily a rural district, put aside the commune of Mureaux.

According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by the National institute of the Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE), the total population of this district is estimated at 129.335 habitants^, .
