Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development Tokyo is one of the many development teams of Nintendo. It was formed in 2003 and currently counts forty employees of which some already worked for Square, Capcom, Konami and Namco.

Presentation

Nintendo EAD Tokyo is the first internal studio of Nintendo to be created apart from the historical city of the firm (Kyōto). He elected residence with Tōkyō and was instigated at the origin by Yoshiaki Koizumi (the producing main thing of the series of the Gundam and actor at Nintendo since the time of the Game Boy) and Takao Shimizu. After their common work on Super Mario Sunshine , they were supported by Shigeru Miyamoto in the creation of this studio. This last influences the developments largely.

The principal goal of this division Tokyo is to conceive plays single in their kind and strongly directed towards the interaction with the player. The first play of the studio was Donkey Kong Jungle Happy , many times preceded for its originality, its fun and its realization of quality.

Since this title, the studio works on the development of Super Mario Galaxy bound for the Nintendo Wii, play important since it is not a question of a play derived but of the return from the mascot of the firm in a set of platforms, the first since Super Mario Sunshine in 2002. Certain members of the team had worked already besides on the demonstration of Super Mario 128 presented at the same time as the GameCube at the time of the Nintendo Space World 2000 , including one most of the ideas and concepts were taken again for Super Mario Galaxy.
