Nintendo, the Official Magazine

“ Nintendo Magazine” is a magazine of video games French specialized in the topicality of the consoles and plays Nintendo. It is currently published by the company Future France under the name of “ Nintendo, the Official Magazine” and is sold every month with the prices of 7 Euro S. In August 2007 the magazine is with its 59ème number.

The magazine actually appears for the first time in October 1997 at the time of the exit of the Nintendo 64 in France. It was then a two-monthly magazine published by the company Emap France and sold with the price of 33 Franc S. It became monthly from September 1998. The magazine disappeared in May 2000 after the publication from number 25. The nonrenewal of the official license Nintendo and the less and less important topicality Nintendo 64 are the causes of this brutal interruption.

In May 2002 at the time of the exit of the GameCube in France, a new formula of the magazine is put on sale at the price of 5,99 Euro S. the classification of the old magazines is not thus preserved the issue of May 2002 is number 1. New Nintendo Magazine is published by the company Future France. Nintendo the Official Magazine is a monthly magazine (except the summer or only one number covers the period July/August). In November 2004 at the time of number 28 a new formula appears. In November 2006, at the time of number 50, the price passes to 7 euros.

  • Soluce : each number the magazine has carried out 2 or 3 guides of play.
  • Tips : easy ways of the hotline Nintendo delivered by Toad.
  • Club Mario : it was the heading of the readers. One found there the mail which Mario answered, signals and of the contests.

Nintendo the Official Magazine (old formula)

  • Current events : all news and previews of the Nintendo video game.
  • Guides : located in the middle of the magazine there were of them 3 to 4 per number. Their number fell during the numbers until disappearing completely from the magazine (a supplement was sometimes offered).
  • Special folders : to replace the guides, it could act of file test, file on a play going soon to leave or other things.
  • Contacts' : headings of the readers with mail, easy ways, signals readers, contest.
  • Tests : the magazine tested the plays GameCube, GameBoy Advance and of the accessories.
