Ninotchka is a American Film carried out by Ernst Lubitsch, left on the screens in 1939.

Synopsis

Three Soviet agents of the Russian Edge off Trade , Iranoff, Buljanoff and Kopalski, are sent to Paris to sell jewels, 40 parts confiscated with the aristocrats during the Russian Révolution. They meet there the count Leon d' Algout, elected by the Large Swana Duchess who wishes to recover her jewels present in the batch. The USSR then sends a special correspondent faithful to the communist dogma to give the three men in the right way, Ninotchka Yakouchova. Rigid and lasts, it arrives at Paris with the intention to conclude the sale and to bring back the three men to Russia. The count Leon d' Algout, initially decided to fight it by all the means, falls in love with it and tries to make it succumb to the Parisian charm.

Launched by the slogan “ Garbo laughs ” ( Garbo Laughs ), Ninotchka is the first comedy of Greta Garbo and its last but one film. It is one of first American films, under outside of light and romantic comedy, to dare an open criticism of the Soviet Union under Stalin. It turns in derision the Soviet system, depicts like a system of shortage, rigid and sad, by comparing it with the Parisian, light company and courtesan. Left at the United States in 1939, it arrived on the screens to Europe during the Second world war, and was a considerable success.
