Ninja will dera
The Ninja Dera is located in the town of Kanazawa (province of Ichikawa) at a few kilometers of the castle.
In the beginning builds close to the garden Kenroku of Kanazawa and called temple of Myôryûji, this building was built in 1585 by Toshiie Maeda, first lord of the Province of Kaga, to request in the calm one and serenity. But Toshitsune Maeda, third lord of Kaga, with moved the temple to avoid centralizing the presence in a single place, but also to supervise the enemies.
Of appearance rather simple and collected on itself, this building seems to have only one stage and ten parts. Reality is very different, because it is necessary to count not less than 29 staircases and 23 parts distributed out of 3 stages in half-levels. Also, in this only building could be present forty soldiers.
The distribution of the parts constitutes a true labyrinth intended to make lose any concept of planimetric and altimetric orientation. One finds various hiding places for samurais there arranged behind rice paper, staircases dissimulated in the ground, the heights of ceiling and ground different, the staircase-traps to draw with the arc or to divide feet, etc They are the most twisted concentrate of the traps with which each square centimeter of the building is abundantly provided.
Among the most remarkable installations, it is necessary to quote a bridge separating from the parts of the building and which seems an obvious short cut to reach the room of the Master, but who crumbles so more than one person borrows it. Sliding panels lead to a staircase going up or going down according to whether one opens them towards the right-hand side or the left. Lastly, in the middle of the building, a puit which feeds the legends and which would lead towards the castle of Kanazawa via tunnels.
