Nindokai

Nindokai is a system of Auto-défense, which is based on martial arts of the Japan and other countries. NINDOKAI was founded in 1990 by Dr. Gerhard Schönberger in Germany. This system enjoys a great acceptance, especially within the police framework, like in the companies of private safety, thanks to the fact that Nindokai is adapted continuously to the needs for century XXI. The objective of Nindokai consists in avoiding an attack or finishing a fight in a simple, fast and effective way, by contracting the least possible personal risk: i.e. to survive.

Word NINDOKAI consists of three Japanese words (Kanji): Nin = persistent heart, C = way, way and Kai = school. NINDOKAI could be translated in the following way: the school, where the persistent way is taught.

Nindokai - a system of self-defense

NINDOKAI is not a martial sport, nor an martial art in the traditional direction, but a method of self-defense modern. The martial sports, like Judo, are based especially on the competition, i.e., are strongly limited by rules, thus decreasing the risk of damage and wounds.

In addition the majority of martial arts is devoted to preserve traditional techniques, coming from the times of the samurais, who, obviously, cannot adapt completely to our days; this fundamental criticism is also in the concept of the Jeet kune C, founded by Bruce Lee.

However, the roots of NINDOKAI are in Japanese martial arts, and from those come much from basic techniques (for example: position of the body, to roll, fall, dodge), like also behaviors during the drive (respect, courtesy, label). Other influences emanate from the military combat body with body (CQB), (Ju Jutsu), as well as methods of the bodyguards. Nindokai does not involve only the techniques without weapons (Tai Jutsu), but also the fight with and against weapons - considering, in much of occasions, in a real fight of the weapons are used.

While starting with a basic drive, the pupil will reach throughout the drive the capacity instinctively to apply the methods and the principles learned. And still each pupil will learn a system from optimal self-defense adapted to his personal constitution.
