Nikolaï Platonovich Andreev (1882-1947)
Nikolaï Platonovich Andreev (1882-1947) is a Photographe representing Russian Pictorialisme, following the example Alexander Grinberg, Yury Eremin, Leonid Shokin, Vassiliy Ulitin, Alexander Rodchenko, El Lissitzky, Boris Ignatovich, Georgiy Petrusov or max Penson.
Technique
Andreev used specific objectives, often manufactured by its care and used varied photographic techniques, like the bromoïl (pulling with oil) or the coloring with the hand of the photographs, in order to restore a romantic atmosphere. These techniques produced incredible tonalities and an enigmatic light.
Price
Work of Andreev was rewarded with many recoveries in the whole world and in particular received the gold medal with the fair of Paris (1924) and the exposure of Saragossa (1927) and several money medals and diplomas in Italy, in Switzerland, in Belgium, in Hungary and in Canada.
