Nigloland

Nigloland opened its doors in 1987 thanks to two brothers Patrice and Philippe Gélis (the old open ones), the name of the mascot of park NIGLO wants to say Hérisson in the language of the Travelling entertainers. Nigloland is a Amusement park located at Dolancourt in the Aube (France). He is divided into three sets of themes parts: " the village canadien" , " the district rock' roll" and " the village merveilleux". It belongs to largest the Amusement parks French, and its frequentation exceeds the 500.000 visitors per season.

History

1987 : It has been 20 years that Nigloland opened its doors (the same year as the Futuroscope). At the beginning, there was ten attractions as well as small a pancake shop and a restaurant, the number of visits rose with 100.000 visitors per seasons.
1988 : Nigloland opens its first Russian Montagne, " Bayern Express" , a roller coaster of Soquet. Unfortunately, this horse-gear will leave the park in 1994 (problems of noise pollutions and maintenance costs.)
1989: Opening of the " Canadienne" river; , horse-gear where the principle is to go up in " buches" and to traverse descents on water.
1990 : 2 new attractions for 1990: " The circuit of Nigloland" , an attraction which makes it possible to drive racing racing cars slightly, and " Caravels of J.Cartier".
1991 : Nigloland celebrates its 5 years and its millionth visitor and inaugurates the " then; Nigloshow" , a spectacle of automats.
1992 : Nigloland inaugurates a new zone, the " Canadien" village; , as well as a roller coaster: the " Gold Undermines Train".
1993 : The directors of the park repurchase the park of the Golden Fleece and its material. Thus opens a new village, the Marvellous Village and among the innovations, " the Enchantée" River; and " Tom Thumb ". The park reaches the 400.000 visitors per season.
1994 : After having spent 6 years with the park, the " Bayern Express" leave Nigloland for a park in Malaysia. To replace this attraction, " the Hanté" Manor; arrive at Nigloland.
1995 : " The Race of Bobsleigh" , Russian mountains arrival very right of the German fairs, after a short stay in Sweden.
1996 : Opening of the " Volants" dragons; who allow to observe the park panoramiquement.
1997 : 2 new attractions " Chenille" as well as the " Hedgehogs of the forest magique" , are 2 innovations dedicated to smallest.
1998 : Nigloland inaugurates the " Space Experiment " , a Large eight in an immense futuristic building, on the topic of a space voyage, Russian Mountains a very dense length of 800 meter in descents and turns. Construction will have lasted nearly one year.
1999 : In order to start the construction of a new zone set of themes, the park opens the " National 66" , horse-gear for children.
2000 : Feelings and Rock' N Roll for 2000! New attraction " Juke Box" take along the visitors in the airs, on cars at the rate/rhythm of Rock' N Roll.
2001 : America is with go. To open the " Village Rock' N Roll" , the park opens " Hollywood Boulevard".
2002 : For 2002, Nigloland opens the " Coaster" beats; 1st large eight suspended France. This Roller coaster will leave the park in 2007.
2003: The park proposes from now on about thirty attractions, the innovation " Aventure" dinosaurs; allows the park to attract 515.000 visitors.
2004 : Inauguration of the " King off Mississippi".
2005 : Opening of the 1st Hotel set of themes, " the Hotel of Pirates" , composed of 30 rooms. Accident on April 9th on attraction " Coaster" beats; , an young woman is seriously wounded with the leg and another suffers from fractures to a leg.
2006 : Nigloland opens a new attraction, “Grizzli”, a Disk' O Coaster of 15m top, on a disc of 9m of diameter.
2007 : The park opens 3 new attractions: " Schlitt Express" , a Wild foams, " The Round of Canards" , horse-gear dedicated to the children, and " Deudeuche Show" , a new spectacle. In addition, large the eight " Coaster" beats; leave the park.

Attractions

Attractions are conceived for all, and all the tastes. The children will find their happiness in " the chenille" , small a Russian Mountain for child, or in other attractions like " the main road 66" , " the forest of the hedgehogs magique" or " overlapped the fantastique". The families will find their happiness in many attractions, like the " king off mississippi" , a luxurious paddle steamer. For the amateurs of feelings, several attractions like " the Race of Bobsleigh" with its descents and turns between the trees and the glaciers, the " Space expérience" who is large eight astounding, or the " juke box".

The hotel of the Pirates

Nigloland opened in 2005 its hotel, " the hotel of the pirates". In an exotic decoration, the hotel is composed of 30 rooms, a restaurant (" the tavern of the pirates") as well as bar and of a theater.

The rooms have 2 beds doubles (with possibility of adding a bed for baby), separated bathroom and WC, television, air-conditioning.

Innovations and Projects

In 2007, for the 20 years of the park, Nigloland invests in a Wild foams, Russian mountain with the very tight turns, called the " schlitt' express" and in a round boat, attraction for child, " the round of the canards".

Moreover, the park gets rid of beats coaster, only coaster suspended France, which was only one provisional attraction and having sudden an accident in 2005 with 2 wounded while waiting for a large wheel of about fifty meters 2009. A new district set of themes being called " the village suisse" will open in 2008. It will contain the " shlitt' express" , " the round of the canards" and the new attraction of 2008 " the farm of Antonin".
