Synopsis

For three years, Laura (Julia Roberts) and Martin have seemed to form the “perfect couple”, in their luxurious villa at the edge of the ocean. But Laura carries out a double life: offering to her husband the face of a happy woman, it actually awaits only one occasion to flee and escape its terrifying accesses from violence and jealousy.

It thoroughly prepared its escape and succeeded in “disappearing”. Laura officially died. Under a name of loan, it starts a new life then, a new love which helps it to overcome its fears and its inhibitions.

But Martin discovered trickery and launches out to the continuation of Laura, decided well to make him pay his mystification.
