Night Gallery

Night Gallery is American series, diffused on NBC of 1970 to 1973. Rod Serling presented each episode and contributed to the writing of many scenarios. It did not have however same control as on the series of the fourth dimension.

Serling appeared in a gallery of Article it introduced the episodes by revealing paintings representing the history.

Night Gallery regularly presented adaptations of traditional arts persons of fantastic, like the stories of Howard Philips Lovecraft, as well as original works, the majority being feather of Serling. She also proposed adaptations, generally by Serling, of contemporary creations like the news The Little Black Bag Cyril Mr. Kornbluth.

The series presented three pilot episodes on November 8th, 1969. One of them was the first realization of Steven Spielberg and one of the last performances of Joan Crawford. Contrary to the remainder of the series, where paintings accompanied only the introduction by Serling, one each time finds them in the episode even.

Night Gallery was nominated for a Emmy Award for the episode They' Re Tearing Down Tim Riley' S Bar . In 1972, the series received another nomination for the episode of the second season: the model of Pickman .

The series was criticized for its use of comic episodes of transition between the parts of a long story in some episodes. In spite of these distractions, Serling produced many interesting telefilms like: " Obscura camera, " " The Caterpillar, " " Class off '99, " " Cool Air, " " The Fraud, " " Green Fingers, " " Lindemann' S Wrestling, " and " The Messiah one Mott Street." Other episodes, where Serling did not take part, are also interesting: " The Dead Man, " " I' L Never Leave You--Ever, " " Pickman' S Model, " " With Question off Fear, " " Silent Snow, Secret Snow, " and " The Sins off the Fathers."

In 1973, Serling was crushed by the criticisms and put at the variation by the production. That ends in the oddment.
