Nicomaque de Gerasa , born with Gerasa, the current town of Djerach, in Jordan, towards 200 after J.C was a Mathématicien and Greek philosopher .

Nicomaque lives in Judaea. One can classify it like néo- Pythagoricien. In its work Introduction to arithmetic the , he studies the Nombre S and seeks their properties Métaphysique S.
