Nicole Notat

Nicole Notat born the July 26th 1947 with Chatrice in the Marne is the general ex-secretary of the trade union CFDT, and is currently chairman of Vigeo, where it engages for a design of the Sustainable development.

It was the first woman to direct a trade-union confederation to France.

Biography

Nicole Notat is resulting from a family of farmers, it chooses to become teacher for problem childs. Teacher in formation with IUFM of Bar-le-Duc, it takes part in it in the movement of May 68.

This figure of the union world adheres to the democratic French Confederation work (CFDT) in 1969. It becomes secretary of the General trade union of State education (Sgen) - CFDT Meuse in 1970, then member of the regional executive commission Sgen Lorraine in 1972. In 1978, it occupies the regional position of secretary general Sgen Lorraine and enters to the council of the Regional union CFDT Lorraine. In 1982, it is member of the confederal Executive commission and national secretary of the sector education then, in 1985, in charge of the sector employment/professional training.

Its progression within CFDT is remarkable, indeed it adheres to SGEN-CFDT in 1969, becomes assistant secretary of CFDT in 1988 then finally general secretary in 1992.

With the Unedic it was president of the council (1992 to 1994), secretary of the board of directors (1994 to 1996) and president of the board of directors (1996 to 1998).

During the Parisian demonstration of the public office on October 17th 1996, it highly is taken with part for its support the previous year for the plan Juppe. She is then shown of treason by demonstrators.

In 2002, it passed the relay of CFDT to Francois Chereque to the congress of Nantes. It then creates Vigeo European company of social and environmental performance evaluation of the companies RSE. As a President de Vigeo, it took again agency ARESE, first social credit rating agency in France.

It is member of the Council of Orientation of association In Real-time . It also sits at the Halde (High ranking authority for the fight against discrimination and exclusion).
