Nicole Brossard
Nicole Brossard is a Poète, novelist and Québécois Dramaturge . She was born with Montreal the November 27th 1943. It is a feminist committed.
She writes its first collection in 1965, Aube at the house , and takes part in the review the bar of the day with which she remains associated until 1979. That contributes to the revival of poetry. The collection the echo moves beautiful mark a rupture in the evolution of its poetry. It takes part in many cultural events (récitales poetic,…). In 1975 it takes part in a meeting of writers on the woman. From there it is implied in the feminist fight, its poetry becomes more personal. It founds a feminist newspaper, the heads of pickaxes , and writes a feminist play the nave of the witches . In 1982, it founds a publisher: the Integral editor
There are in its writing two poles: on the one hand its modernism and its avangardism and on the other hand a militant writing more sensual, suggestive, asserting female homosexual freedom.
Nicole Brossard writes a poetry of the objectivity in which the poet refers to anything else only to itself. One is with the antipodes lyricism. After 1980, subjectivity is given in value, by stressing the claims and the revolt.
