Nicole Bouteau
Nicole Moea Bouteau (born the January 20th 1969 with the Raincy) is a political woman of the French Polynésie. Former minister for the territory, it left the government of Gaston Flosse in 2002, to found the following year the No oe E you nunaa, an moderate establishment, allied the first time with the Union for the democracy, from now on near to the democratic Mouvement which supports it.
It belonged to the group of the Independents to the Assemblée of French Polynesia (district of the Windward Islands). It is the first Polynesian one to have founded a Political party.
Mrs Bouteau is “half” according to name in force in Tahiti (European father, mother tahitienne). She lives in cohabitation and has a child. Its profession is that of agent of the territorial administration (group CC1). She holds a control of the right of the businesses (Université of the Southern Pacific). Its political commitment would come from his/her uncle Toutara Salmon, founding member of the Tahoeraa will huiraatira, mayor of Taiarapu-Is. Located by Gaston Flosse in 1995, it takes part in the creation of “Young people Orange” (the orange is the color of the party of Flosse). It becomes Minister for tourism in March 2001.
Initially allied to the Union for the democracy (UPLD) which it represented in Paris to ask the dissolution of the Parliament in particular, it contributes to the victory of Antony Géros and Oscar Temaru. Refusing the bipolarisation, she sought a third way and supports a “ an alleviated autonomy, integrates, reasonable in her choices and her development policies and which will preserve a strong bond with France ”. Quickly constant of the metropolis by the Union for the French democracy (UDF) and from now on by the democratic Movement, it is part from now on of the independents.
With the first turn of the French legislative elections, on Saturday, June 2, supported by the Modem, it obtains 3.808 votes (7,26%) and is eliminated as of the first turn.
